Our History

North Bristol NHS Trust Charitable Funds was established in 1986 to raise funds for Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital, Frenchay Hospital and the community based health services in North Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.

1986 – North Bristol NHS Trust Charitable Funds established.

2008 – Launched as the ‘Shine together’ charity

2014 – Rebranded Southmead Hospital Charity in line with the closure of Frenchay Hospital and the centralisation of services at Southmead Hospital Bristol
