Our Team

Elizabeth Bond, Head of Fundraising

I am privileged to head up such a dynamic and passionate team of people who are committed to the charity and to helping patients and staff at North Bristol NHS Trust. I am proud to be head of fundraising for an ambitous charity that is acheiving great things for the hospitals and the communities that it serves. I have worked in the health charity sector for 20 years and prior to that, I worked within the arts in Cardiff. I've lived in Bristol for over 20 years and have two children who are both Southmead babies!

Anita Lewis, Fund and Income Coordinator

I have spent the majority of my early career in the retail and hospitality industries. After a brief career break following the birth of my third child, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to work in healthcare and particularly within Women’s and Children’s Health. I was lucky enough to land myself a position here at Southmead and have spent the last five and a half years working in many different areas, including with the Capital Projects Team at North Bristol NHS Trust helping to ensure the new Brunel Building was ready for patients and staff to move in to in 2014.

I am now very excited to be part of the charity, helping to develop it and raise awareness and funds for a hospital that has played a major part in mine and my family’s life, from having all my three children here to receiving treatment as an inpatient. My role is to support the charity's fund-holders at the Trust and in ensuring funding is spent in line with the charity's key aims to ultimately benefit patients.

Adrian Brown, Corporate & Community Manager

My professional background is a creative one, having worked for many years within the graphic and web design industry and more recently I have joined the world of charity and the amazing things that can be achieved by nurturing the good will of people in the community through events and supporting them on their donor journey.

Southmead Hospital has a long tradition of local support and I really enjoy working with people in the community who want to say thank you for the care they, or those close to them, have received in our hospitals or those that just want to make a difference   to the future of healthcare in Bristol. I am constantly inspired by the brilliant things people will do to support their hospitals, and it is a pleasure to be able to help make their efforts as successful as they can possibly be.

In my spare time, I love to socialise with my friends and family and spend quality time with my two cats. I also enjoy many artistic pursuits including writing, drawing, painting and performance. You might even see me running about the streets of Bristol to keep my fitness levels up and get ready for the next charity run in support of Southmead Hospital Charity. Let me know if you want to join me or perhaps you’d rather jump out of a plane, cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats or organise a charity bake sale.

Hannah Jones, Corporate & Community Assistant

I work as part of the Corporate and Community team, supporting groups and individuals through their fundraising journey and assisting with our wide variety of events. I also help manage the café at the Bristol Brain Centre. I started working in the charity sector as a volunteer for my local RSPCA’s fundraising team, and I really enjoy coming up with ideas for new and existing events to raise as much money as possible. I am very proud to now be part of the team at Southmead Hospital Charity with some fantastic colleagues where I am able to aid the fundraising of a wonderful cause that supports thousands of people every year.

Ian Riddell, Corporate & Community Officer

I work in the Corporate and Community team with Adrian and Hannah. Before working in the charity sector I taught English as a second language to adults and children. My job is brilliant because I’m constantly meeting amazing people and no two days are the same. My role entails building relationships with schools, community groups, businesses and individuals who want to raise funds for us. I love hearing the creative ideas people have and working with them to make the most out of their hard work. I enjoy talking about how special the hospital is and, like everybody, I love the NHS. Both my children were born here and I’ve been patched up quite a few times- I always leave in absolute awe of what we do. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, cycling and playing football. Before my children popped along I was a keen traveller and loved seeking out adventure across the globe!

Aleisha Foreman, Communications Manager

I manage the charity’s media, social media and other communications channels, marketing campaigns and strategy to promote the great work of our fundraisers and the charity and North Bristol NHS Trust. I work part-time alongside Sarah and together we love to come up with new and creative ways of celebrating the fantastic work that people do for the charity and for the NHS. I am a journalist by trade having graduated with a first class degree in Journalism from the University of Sheffield and spending the early part of my career as a journalist and news reporter at the Lincolnshire Echo, the Western Daily Press and the Press Association. I then became press and social media manager for North Bristol NHS Trust and after becoming a mum for the first time in 2014, I moved over to the role of Communications Manager for Southmead Hospital Charity. I now have two young sons who bring joy, love and lots of snotty mayhem to my world!

Aleisha Foreman

Sarah Reddiford, Communications Manager

Along with Aleisha I promote the work and successes of the Charity and the amazing things our fundraisers do to support us.  This includes keeping our social media pages and website up to date, securing media coverage for us, and working with the Charity team to produce marketing materials such as fund leaflets and annual publications. I live locally and my children were both born at Southmead Hospital so I’m very proud to work here.
