Every Wednesday Annette joins us in the Southmead Hospital Charity office. She has volunteered with us for less than a year and in that time has proved herself to be an invaluable member of our team. She is hard working and passionate about the Charity, whether she’s supporting our teams in a local Dragon Boat Festival, or distributing our posters around the hospital.
It’s easy to forget that Annette is a volunteer – such is her contribution to the Charity.
The charity fraternity is indebted to volunteers, the sector’s often unsung heroes. We are a very small charity and Annette’s unwavering support has been priceless. We also like to think that we in turn give something back to Annette – she has a personal connection to the hospital as both her late husband and father were cared for here and this is what makes her passionate about the work we do as a hospital.
We would love to have a few more volunteers to help us as we grow, supporting those who fundraise for Southmead Hospital.
If you would like to find out more about what volunteers opportunities are available please get in touch with us. In the meantime, I’ll let Annette tell you in her own words why she supports Southmead Hospital Charity – click on her story to the right.
