Bristol Harbourside Triathlon
One of the premier events on the triathlon racing calendar
The Bristol Harbourside Triathlon is one of the premier events on the triathlon racing calendar in the South West of England. The event has two levels – Olympic and Sprint. The Olympic course is a 1500m swim, a 40k cycle ride and a 10k run. The Sprint course is a 750m swim, a 20k cycle ride and a 5k run.
The swim takes place in the Cumberland Basin, part of Bristol's historic Harbour and adjacent to the Brunel Lock. The cycle routes for both distances take place on closed roads, under the Clifton Suspension Bridge. The run route is a looped course along the towpath on the other side of the Avon Gorge, with sprint competitors completing a single lap and Olympic competitors completing two.
