Award-winning Bristol hair salon to host super hero fundraising day
Staff at Bristol’s award-winning salon, Sean Hanna, will be dressing up as super heroes this Saturday 16 April as part of their fundraising for Southmead Hospital Charity.
The Cabot Circus salon, which recently won ‘Best Hair Salon’ in the Bristol Lifestyle Awards, will be raising money throughout the day and treating customers to drinks and snacks. The salon’s head stylist, Noel Halligan, is also running the London Marathon for the Charity later this year. Noel’s sister-in-law works in maternity services at Southmead Hospital and the salon is specifically raising money for the Charity’s maternity services fund.
“We’re going to have our cloaks and eye masks at the ready, and it should be a really fun day,” explains franchise director Adam Vincent.
“We like to fundraise in weird and wonderful ways and hope to generate as much money for Southmead Hospital as we can. Noel is busy training for the London Marathon so we’re keen to show him support by helping to raise even more funds.”
Each year more than 6,000 babies are born at Southmead Hospital and money raised for the maternity services fund are used to improve facilities in the labour and post-labour wards as well as for the purchase of equipment and for staff training.
The salon will be open from 09.40 am – 7pm this Saturday and is at 13 Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus.
