Buskathon at John Lewis
Our Buskathon is off on tour again this weekend with performances of local bands and choirs at John Lewis Cribbs Causeway on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th June.
Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the performances. All the performers are giving their time free of charge, and are busking to raise money for our Prostate Cancer Care Appeal.
“We are delighted to be hosting the Buskathon this weekend in support of Southmead Hospital Charity.” Explains Nicola Mason, PR & Marketing Coordinator at John Lewis.
“It’s a huge privilege for us to be involved and a great way to entertain our customers whilst supporting this very worthwhile cause.”
The Buskathon is taking part throughout the whole of June. There are performances most days in Southmead Hospital’s Brunel building, and as well as the John Lewis weekend there have been performances in Broadmead.
“We have had a great response from Bristol performers, willing to give their time to support our Prostate Cancer Care Appeal.” Says our Community Appeals Manager, Adrian Brown
“This is the second year running that we’ve hosted our Buskathon and we have a very varied performance timetable. We have choirs, soloists, bands, folk trios – even a sea shanty group all playing for us. Check here to see what’s on each day and pop in.”
