Thanks to our donors, we’ve been able to fund an amazing new sensory room at the Saplings Nursery here at Southmead Hospital. The room is packed full of light up, interactive play equipment and textures, and provides a calm yet stimulating environment for the children at the nursery.
“The sensory room is going to support all of our children by encouraging them to explore.” Explains Nursery head, Helen Dacre.
“The room provides our children with sensory stimulation which will engage different areas of their brains, helping them to absorb and retain information. The equipment will also help with improving balance, movement, and special orientation. And we can also use the room to comfort and calm children, helping them to relax and settle within the nursery.”
