We’re very pleased to announce that we have been chosen by Halsall Construction as their Charity of the Year.  The company will be specifically raising money for our renal rund.

Andy Corp,  Halsall’s Managing Director, says: “I am aware that Southemead Hospital has been at the forefront of the kidney transplant programme for many years and has some of the best success rates in the country.

“One of our colleagues has recently needed the help and support of the renal facilities so choosing Southmead Hospital Charity reflects our thanks and was a great decision to make. We’re passionate about this commitment.  Knowing that the money we will be able to raise will be used to improve the lives of so many who will be faced with such adversity, is something we’re very proud of.”

Halsall will support us over the forthcoming year and have pledged to raise £15,000.

Our communities Appeals Manager, Adrian Brown, added:  “We’re delighted that Halsall has chosen us as their Charity of the Year and are going to raise money for our renal fund following the care one of their employees has received at Southmead Hospital.  We really value their support and are looking forward to a very successful  12 months of fundraising.  As a local charity we’re very grateful for corporate support from local businesses and it’s wonderful that Halsall is creating opportunities for members of the public to get involved with their fundraising.”

Halsall’s first official fundraising event for us is a cycle ride this Friday, 25th May.  The Halsall Mendip Cycle Challenge will start at 8.30am at the Chilcompton Sports Ground with teams of up to 4 cyclists pedalling their way over 20, 40 or a challenging 60 mile course.
