Concert raises over £8,000

Songs for NICU, a concert hosted by the Dursley Male Voice Choir, has raised an astonishing £8,000 for us.  All the money will go to support our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The concert was held in October in St Georges Bristol.  The Choir chose to support NICU as the grand-daugher of the Choir’s Chairman, Brian Tocknell, received treatment there when she was born prematurely last year.

Around 300 people came to the concert and enjoyed a variety of beautiful songs by the Choir, and by two guest singers soprano Victoria Joyce, and baritone Mark Llewlyn Evans.

“We’re so grateful to the Choir for all of their support.” Says Adrian Brown, our Community Appeals Manager. “They’ve raised a huge amount of money for us, all of which will go towards helping other sick and premature babies.

“The concert was a lovely afternoon and was a real highlight of our fundraising year.”
