Our huge admiration and thanks to Amanda Louise Oakey who very bravely completed a skydive for us last weekend, raising money for our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Amanda has raised over £600 for the Unit as a thanks to the staff who cared for her daughter Isabelle who was born at 24 weeks and 5 days weighting in at a very tiny 500g. Isabelle was on a ventilator for a long time.
“Without the amazing NICU doctors and nurses at Southmead Hospital Isabelle would never have survived being born so prematurely.” Explains Amanda.
“And the staff didn't just help her Isabelle get better - they helped us all as a family get through this tough time so I just wanted to give them something back to say a big thank you.”
