Summer Zumba Fun
It’s time to get your Zumba on at this year’s Southmead Summer Zumbathon on 1 July.
Spend 3 hours in the summer sunshine, having fun and getting fit whilst raising money for our Prostate Cancer Care Appeal. The Zumbathon will take place at BAWA Health & Leisure Club and is being organised by Bristol-based dance teacher and Zumba instructor, Emily Holloway
“We did our first Zumbathon last year and it was so much fun that we’ve decided to repeat it.” Explains Emily.
“Everyone is welcome, even if you have never done Zumba or any other exercise before. You can join in for as much or as little as you like and you can go at your own pace. In true Zumba spirit, we’ll be using a variety of dance styles with great music guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
“We’ll have a team of instructors on hand to keep the dances varied, and the most important thing is that everyone taking part has fun!”
There is no need to book your place and you can just turn up on the day. Entry to the event will be £10 for adults and £5 for children and spectators.
As this is a challenge event, all participants are requested to ask their friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them with all fundraising going towards our Prostate Cancer Care Appeal.
The event will take place from 2 – 5pm in the grounds outside the main BAWA building if the weather allows, or in the main ballroom if it is raining.
