They did Something Super for Southmead: Volunteers get digging!
Two gardens at Southmead Hospital have had a new lease of life thanks to the hard work of a team of Southmead Hospital Charity volunteers from Aviva.
Gardens at The Brain Centre and the Rosa Burdon centre for Neuropsychiatry have been transformed after a day’s work by the UK Life Internal Audit team from Aviva, based at Stoke Gifford.
Alex Lee, Audit Manager, said: “The team really enjoyed themselves and it was a great event to do – not only to support Southmead Hospital Charity but for us as a newly formed team to come together.”
Jane Ibbunson, head of fundraising for Southmead Hospital Charity, said: “The gardens look absolutely lovely and staff and patients will really appreciate the difference that these brighter, more welcoming spaces will bring.”
“There are so many ways you can Do Something Super for Southmead and support Southmead Hospital Charity – we’d love to hear from workplace teams who would like to get together in a fundraising or volunteering challenge.”
