Wing Walk 2024

17th September 2024
Rendcomb, Cirencester

Wing Walk with the AeroSuperBatics!

Fly with AeroSuperBatics, based in Rendcomb, Cirencester, with stunning views of the surrounding Cotswolds.

Flown by one of their wing walking display pilots, you will take to the skies on the top wing of one of their Boeing Stearman biplanes and experience an exciting series of flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives and banks in front of the family and friends you bring along on the day.

Before you taxi across their beautiful airfield, ready for take-off, expect to be overwhelmed with excitement from the roar of the 450hp engine and the propeller in front of you hitting speeds of 760mph. The day will begin at 9:30am, and run until 1:30pm.

Get ready for the ride of your life!

Wing Walk registration

Requirements

Due to the nature of the event, you must read and confirm that you meet the requirements below to be able to wing walk. These requirements are stipulated by the AeroSuperBatics team, and you can find a full FAQ on their website.

  • You must be 18 years of age or over.
  • Your waist measurement, while wearing warm clothing and a jacket, must be 40 inches or less.
  • You must be no taller than 6 feet 2 inches. There is some flexibility on height if waist measurement is less than 40 inches.
  • You must weigh less than 14 stone (89kg).
  • You must be able to climb completely unassisted up to and down from the top wing of one of our Boeing Stearman biplanes. This is a steep climb of approximately 10 feet (3 metres). You will be given full guidance by a professional wing walker.
  • You must not have suffered any of the following conditions: Epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts, fainting fits or giddiness, diseases of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction. If you suffer from these conditions but are regularly monitored by your doctor and the condition is medicated and under control, then you can fly with us. If you have any concerns at all regarding your health, fitness, and ability to wing walk, then we ask that you consult your doctor.

Registration fees

There are two registration fee options:

  • Self-fund your registration for £399 and raise as much as you can for our hospitals.
  • Part-fund your registration for £200, when you commit to raising a minimum of £500 for our hospitals by 17th October. Please note, if you raise less than £500 by the deadline, you’ll be required to pay the remainder of your wing walk registration (£199) so that this cost does not get passed on to the Charity.
