Southmead Hospital Charity
With your help we can fund ground-breaking medical research, provide specialist equipment at the cutting-edge of technology and improve treatment facilities for generations to come.
Southmead Hospital Charity raises money to support the work of Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital and community health services in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
Working alongside our staff and patients, we fundraise for projects that are beyond the remit of the NHS but have a huge impact on the lives of patients.
Our Heroes this week are Emergency Medicine Consultants Ben Jordan and Adam Brown who are taking part in a triathlon event to raise money for Southmead Hospital Charity.
They are specifically fundraising for the Guy Jordan Memorial Fund in memory of Mr Jordan’s brother – who was a consultant in aneasthesica and intensive care medicine.
Now Ben and Adam, who work in Southmead Hosptial’s Emergency Department & Major Trauma Centre, are preparing to compete in the Cotswolds Lake 62 Standard Triathlon – a 1500m swim, a 25 mile cycle ride and a 5 mile run – on August 5.
