Southmead Hospital Charity
With your help we can fund ground-breaking medical research, provide specialist equipment at the cutting-edge of technology and improve treatment facilities for generations to come.
Southmead Hospital Charity raises money to support the work of Southmead Hospital, Cossham Hospital and community health services in the Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset.
Working alongside our staff and patients, we fundraise for projects that are beyond the remit of the NHS but have a huge impact on the lives of patients.
Our Heroes this week are MS Peoples Help who have donated £5,000 to Southmead Hospital Charity’s BrAMS fund.
The Bristol and Avon Multiple Sclerosis (BrAMS) centre provides research, treatment and therapy for those with multiple sclerosis in the South West and is based in the Brain Centre at Southmead Hospital.
Shaun McCarthy and Roger Wall from MS Peoples Help met with Dr David Cottrell, consultant neurologist at BrAMS, on February 3 to accept the donation.
Over the past two years the organisation have donated £20,000 to the service.
