Southmead Hospital Charity is proud to celebrate the incredible support we’ve received from Equans, who have been dedicated partners since 2018. Their ongoing commitment is making a meaningful difference to patients, families and staff across North Bristol NHS Trust.
As the team responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Brunel building at Southmead Hospital, Equans already plays a vital role in keeping our hospital running smoothly every day. And over recent years, they have gone above and beyond by raising funds, boosting morale, and showing dedication to our NHS community.
Supporting our staff awards
One of the highlights of Equans’ partnership has been their financial support for the North Bristol NHS Trust Staff Awards. They sponsored the Leader of the Year award for 2025, helping us celebrate some of the extraordinary people who make our hospitals such a special place. Thanks to Equans, more of these achievements have been recognised and shared across our Trust.
A festive gift
During the festive season, Equans also generously sponsored one of our Christmas trees as part of a display at Southmead Hospital. Their sponsorship fee was donated directly to Southmead Hospital Charity, helping us continue to fund projects and equipment that improve patient care throughout the year.
Taking on the Bristol to Bath Trail
Last year, a team of 18 from Equans laced up their trainers for the Bristol to Bath Trail, taking on the challenge and raising £4,307 in aid of our charity. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment were truly inspiring, and we’re incredibly grateful for the difference their fundraising has made.
Serving up support
Equans’ support hasn’t stopped at physical challenges; they’ve also shown their skills in the kitchen! By taking part in a sponsored bake, they helped raise even more funds for the charity, demonstrating once again that every contribution, big or small, helps us do more for our hospitals.
