Coronavirus COVID-19 Appeal

We are in the middle of unprecedented times and our staff, here at Southmead Hospital are working tirelessly to support the public through this crisis.

Dear supporter,

We are in the middle of unprecedented times and our staff, here at North Bristol NHS Trust are working tirelessly to support the public through this crisis.

As an acute, specialist hospital, we are experts at caring for the most poorly in society – we have a world class Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and our NHS is at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 (coronavirus), with all our dedicated colleagues across the entire hospital doing all they can to care for those most at risk, and in our care. We are also leading the Nightingale hospital based in UWE.

This is a tough time for all our employees – who we also need to take care of, to ensure that they can take care of you and your family, friends and neighbours. If we all play our part we can make a real difference together.

We are lucky to have the most incredible, loyal and caring supporters here at Southmead Hospital Charity. Many of you have spent hours training for races or preparing for fundraising events which have now been cancelled or postponed because of COVID-19. This has been necessary in order to protect our supporters and our staff and attempt to delay the spread of this virus.

You can continue to help us to help you by offering your support today. So we’re asking for your help. By donating what you can today, or by committing to giving on a regular basis, you can help us to continue some of our essential hospital, patient and staff support. Donations will fund many things including staff care packages, baby scans for parents and offering financial support to bereaved families of NBT staff sadly lost due to COVID-19.

Thank you for all that you have done, and will continue to do for us and with us. We really appreciate your support at this very uncertain time.

Thank you.

We are staying here in ICU to help you and yours. Please be sure to follow government advice, socially distance and wash your hands. That too will help us.

Your donations are needed now more than ever, so thank you – we are extremely grateful!”
