Moving Experience raise £11,000 to support NICU

Published:

“Once the doctors and nurses had finished taking care of him, I remember putting my hand into the side of the incubator and talking to the baby. I let him know that we would take good care of him, and that he was in the best place he could be.”

The Colley family know first-hand how emotional the experience of having a child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) can be, having had two of their sons, Theo and Harry, treated here.

As a result of this journey, and to thank the dedicated NICU staff, Matt’s company Moving Experience has raised a staggering £11,000 across the years to support the team that cared for Theo and Harry. They were also blessed with a new arrival Reuben last year, who luckily did not have to go to NICU – “It was actually quite strange for us that it was so calm!”

Moving Experience have shown a truly incredible level of generosity, making a real world impact on many parents going through the same experience that Matt and Rachel had.

“The boys received the support and care that they needed, but of course Rachel need some help too, and I was always made to feel welcome. I genuine believed that it’s not just a job, everybody from cleaners to consultants showed how much they really do care.”

How your partnership can help the hospital

Corporate partnerships like this are an incredible resource for the hospital, and the money raised makes the world of difference. Here’s what Matt says of the experience:

“There are many benefits for the company and our team through raising money for charity. At networking events, we have a noticeable point of difference from similar firms and people are really interested to hear about our fundraising.

“We’re very proud of what we have been able to do so far, but of course we want to do more.

“To any other companies, I would suggest finding a way to integrate fundraising into your day-to-day business. It’s a sustainable way to raise money for charity and it becomes a hugely rewarding part of what you do.”
