The London Marathon will be back on Sunday 27 April, 2025 – and you could be there representing Southmead Hospital Charity, helping our amazing NHS go further to enhance care for patients.

This world-famous marathon takes you past many of the most memorable landmarks in London, including Tower Bridge, Big Ben, and The Shard. With around 50,000 runners and thousands of spectators lining the streets to cheer you on, the atmosphere at the London Marathon promises an unforgettable experience.

For your chance to secure one of our five London Marathon places, please complete the application below. We encourage you to include as much detail as you can about why you want to run for Southmead Hospital Charity and how you plan to reach the minimum £2,500 fundraising target.

Applications close on Sunday 1 September, and we will be in touch with you regarding the outcome of your application by Monday 9 September. Please note, you must be over 18 to apply for a place in the London Marathon.

What our London Marathon runners will receive

A Southmead Hospital Charity running vest.
An introduction with the Charity team and fellow London Marathon runners over breakfast at Southmead Hospital.
An opportunity to join the London Marathon Whatsapp group to share tips and successes.
An opportunity to join the London Marathon team in a group run before the big day.
Fundraising tips and support from our Community team, including fundraising materials, such as bunting, balloons and banners, if required.
