Our 100ft abseil is back!

Our Amazing Abseil Adventure is back and we’re giving people the chance to abseil 100ft down the side of Southmead Hospital.

If you don’t fancy taking on the feat yourself, you can nominate a boss, co-worker, friend or family member who you think could step up to the challenge on Saturday September 21.

Participants can raise money for the hospital department or cause of their choice, or support some of our key projects:

• Developing new drug treatments and early intervention options for people with brain cancer and with Parkinson’s Disease
• Supporting a new programme of therapy through arts for people with dementia
• To buy a new state-of-the art digital microscope for brain surgery to make targeted brain tumour surgery more successful and less invasive
• Redeveloping the hospital’s bereavement suite including in the maternity unit

“This is the third year that we have held the abseil at the hospital and it is always a fantastic event where everyone has a lot of fun while raising money for hospital projects that have a huge impact on improving healthcare locally.

No experience is necessary as our qualified events team at Dave Talbot Adventure Events will provide full training and support on the day.

Registration is now open for £35. Participants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100 and you can raise money for any one of our special projects, departments or causes.

Participants of 14 years and over can take part, but if you are under 18, full parent consent will be required.
